Sen. Shaheen: You Can Keep Your Doctor Under Obamacare, but you're going to have to "pay more"
(February 3, 2014) - In a recent interview on Concord Radio, which has also been reported on by the NH Journal, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said that Granite Staters who have lost their insurance and family doctor due to Obamacare could get them back, but apparently, they will have to pay more:
Sen. Shaheen was also noncommittal as to whether she would vote for Obamacare again and said: "I would've designed it differently had I been designing it. I wasn't the person who was writing the law. Hindsight is 20/20."
The full radio interview can be found HERE. Derek Dufresne, spokesman for Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire, released the following statement:
"Senator Shaheen's recent comments are in stark contrast to the 'Lie of the Year' she once repeated, that Granite Staters could keep their insurance under Obamacare. Now, she says that they can keep their doctor, but only if they are willing to pay more. That is certainly not a solution middle-class New Hampshire families want to hear.
"New Hampshire's senior senator knows this disaster of a law is hurting millions of families. It is time for her to do her job, join with a majority of her constituents, and finally work to repeal it immediately."
