Release: CSNH Stands by Ad
MANCHESTER - New Hampshire Democrats, and organizations that have supported Governor Maggie Hassan in the past, have recognized the effectiveness of Citizen's for a Strong New Hampshire's latest ad campaign. The ad highlights the need for the governor to sign the budget and stop blocking the funds that are so important in the fight against New Hampshire's tragic drug epidemic.

Derek Dufresne of Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire released the following statement in response to requests to pull down the ad;
"While Granite Staters are suffering, Governor Maggie Hassan has been playing politics with the budget process all summer. The harm her stonewalling is causing the state is why her predecessor, former Democratic Governor John Lynch, decided against vetoing a state budget.
"Perhaps Governor Hassan's veto was a tool to benefit her own political career, but regardless of her reasoning, it is tragically hurting the very people who need help the most. We stand by our ad and call on Governor Maggie Hassan to finally do the right thing. The time is now for her to stop blocking the funds that are so important in the fight against New Hampshire's tragic drug epidemic and sign the budget."
