Steve King headed to New Hampshire

Posted on

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who went to South Carolina on Monday, will travel to the early primary state of New Hampshire in October.

A new group called Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire says King is “tentatively confirmed” for its conference Oct. 12 in Manchester.

The news was first reported by the Concord Monitor.

The immigration hard-liner hasn’t confirmed whether he’s looking to run for president, but the twin visits would surely seem to suggest that. King was also in New Hampshire last week, tweeting a picture of himself in Dixville Notch — the tiny town that historically casts the first votes for president at midnight on Election Day.

Other speakers at the conference include Elbert Guillory, the African American Louisiana state senator who recently switched to the Republican Party and whose video explaining the switch went viral in conservative circles.
