Shea-Porter and Kuster's Obamacare Flip-Flop: Too Little, Too Late

Posted on
Today, Rep. Carol Shea-Porter and Rep. Annie Kuster voted for HR 3350, the Keep Your Health Plan Act of 2013, which would extend insurance coverage that has been canceled as a result of Obamacare. The bill passed 261 - 157.

Derek Dufresne, Spokesman for Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire, released the following statement:

"Rep. Carol Shea-Porter's and Rep. Annie Kuster's votes this afternoon were a desperate attempt to save their political careers, not an honest recognition that their support for Obamacare has resulted in disaster for millions of Americans. For years, Granite Staters have been urging liberals like Rep. Carol Shea-Porter and Rep. Annie Kuster to oppose this failing law, work to repeal it, and implement free market solutions to our country's healthcare needs. They still refuse to do so.

"With today's vote, we have proof that Rep. Shea-Porter and Rep. Kuster recognize the political fallout that they will receive as a result of their support for Obamacare, but for countless Granite Staters who have had their policies canceled and their premiums increased, it is too little too late."
