Washington (CNN) - Sen. Ted Cruz will headline a second fundraiser in New Hampshire when he visits the final week of April, as the Texas Republican continues to flirt with a bid for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.
Cruz will be the featured guest at a $500-a-plate fundraiser for Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire, a conservative organization that, among other things, is working to try and defeat Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in November.
“We are excited to welcome Senator Cruz to the Granite State and to hear from one of the leading voices in the U.S. Senate on how his efforts on Capitol Hill have advanced conservative values of limited government for all Americans,” said Mike Biundo, general consultant for the organization.
The Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire event will take place April 27 at a private home on the Seacoast, the night after Cruz is scheduled to keynote the Carroll County Republican Committee fundraising dinner in Bartlett. Ticket prices for the Carroll County fundraiser range from $60-$100.
Cruz will also visit New Hampshire in mid-April to participate in the Citizens United and Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s “Freedom Summit.” The two organizations announced that in addition to Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Mike Lee, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and several others would speak at the April 12 event in Manchester. Paul and Huckabee are expected to consider running for the Republican nomination.
